However, that being said, the distinction between Amulets and Talismans is not always so clear! If people come to me asking for a "Love Amulet" or a "Love Talisman", I usually prepare a "Love Charm" - which for me incorporates the protective qualities of an Amulet with the "good luck" qualities of a Talisman. The Charms I prepare are inscribed with sacred symbols and sigils and are charged according to their purpose - usually under the protection of a particular spirit. Amulets and talismans for Love, for example, are prepared under the guidance of Pomba Gira. But not all Pomba Gira's work exactly the same. Some will bring romance, some bring lovers, some will bring casual encounters and others will even bring stable, lasting relationships!

Charms for protection are also prepared according to the individual needs and are prized according tho their category. Protection from spiritual attacks can usually take many forms, depending on the intention of the attacker and the spiritual forces involved!
